You know how it is. You find a product you really like and you stick with it for years. You’ve seen other people wearing or using the product, so you think, Hey, I’ll give that a go! You use it or wear it with pride and tell anyone and everyone that will spare two seconds of their wretched day with you how awesome the product is and how it’s changed your life and how they should get their hands on one too. And then something goes horribly wrong. And you try to contact the owners of the product. But they can’t be fucked getting back to you. They’re too busy counting their hundred’s. That’s when I say to them, NO! FUCK YOU! And switch to their competitor. Right there. It’s that simple.
Take my real-life examples over the past few months. . . |

In 2005 I recorded a bunch of songs on my own when I was living in Venice Beach, California. At this point in time I only like two of them, but two is better than none, so. . . I'm putting them out there, free of charge, as MP3 files at 320kbps. The first song is called Trust & Guns . The second song is called We Don't Need Them . Maybe you'll like them, I hope you do. . . either way, they were songs that were in my head at the time and I am glad they now exist and have freed some space in my brain to create some more stuff. |

I’ve found a new band. They’re called Cancer Bats and these four guys hail from Toronto, Canada. They released their second album a few months ago and it’s called Hail Destroyer, and, it didn’t take very long at all for me to get crazy over this album.

I got up early this morning. I like to get to bed just after midnight, which of course means anything before 10 a.m. is early. I’m just like everyone else; there are certain days of the week where an important reason demands that my beauty sleep be savagely and brutally beaten to death. Like this morning. On this particular morning I had to attend a meeting, one that meant if I didn’t go, I wouldn’t get paid. Some people call this type of meeting work. But not me. I like to call it . . . well, yeah, I guess you could call it work. This particular day would have been bearable, if only I hadn’t forgotten a modern piece of equipment we can no longer do without. |

Not since the brutally heart-wrenching album Roots Bloody Roots by Sepultura in 1996 have I felt true heavy metal grab me by the balls and demand that I wake the fuck up. Shortly after Roots came out Max Cavalera left the band, plus his drummer blood brother Iggor Cavalera. Apparently it was a nasty fall out. The rest of the band continued on as Sepultura, but Max went out on his own to form Soulfly. Both bands released a couple of alright albums, but nothing as magical as Roots. That is, until now...
